DIOR 26SS Cotton-Mix Stitching Sweater with Round Collar
Code: FN165X215X
Sizes: S, M, L, XL
The sweater is made of a blend of 82% cotton, 15% nylon, and 3% spandex. The cotton material is gentle on the skin and retains moisture well. Nylon provides durability and a crisp texture, while spandex ensures excellent elasticity and resilience. The fabric is tight-fitting yet delicate, with fluffy and breathable fringe structures. The weight is moderate, providing good drape. This style is suitable for loose-fitting designs, featuring a naturally dropped shoulders and relaxed silhouette. The ribbing uses 350-gram high-elasticity spandex yarn, which complements the elasticity of the main fabric. This yarn is used in the collar, cuffs, and hem areas to ensure that the silhouette remains neat and the fabric retains its elasticity over time.
Before fabric production, the fabric undergoes pre-shrinking and width adjustment processes to stabilize the shrinkage rates along both warp and weft directions. Internal stress is also eliminated. Since the fabric contains nylon and spandex, it’s essential to strictly control the setting temperature to prevent damage to the elasticity or wrinkles in the fabric. During cutting, a low-tension laying system is used, along with vacuum adsorption tables, to ensure even layering of fabric layers and moderate cutting speed. This prevents overheating damage to fibers, while also ensuring uniform thread direction across all cuts, maintaining symmetry and precise dimensions for the loose-fit design.
Imported embroidery uses a template positioning system. Before embroidering, soluble backing and heat-fused reinforcement backing are applied to the reverse side of the fabric to distribute embroidery stresses and prevent fraying of the fringes caused by the embroidery needles. The positioning accuracy is controlled within ±0.2 cm. Fine-needle embroidery is used, with tension adjusted individually for each section, ensuring clear and smooth edges, and a seamless integration with the fabric’s texture.
During sewing, special attention is paid to the side seams and shoulder seams of the loose-fit design. Four-thread sewing or lockstitch techniques are used, with constant fabric feeding pressure. High-elasticity sewing threads are chosen to match the fabric’s elasticity, preventing crookedness of sleeves and hems due to stretching. When joining the ribbing to the main fabric, precise alignment is ensured, maintaining consistent seam extension rates and ensuring a smooth fit. After sewing, the fabric undergoes enzymatic treatment using a combination of enzymes and softeners. This process gently washes the fabric at controlled temperatures, removing surface fluff and giving the fabric a vintage-like texture. It also reduces internal stress in the fabric, enhancing the relaxed appearance of the design. Since the fabric contains nylon and spandex, it’s crucial to carefully control the temperature and duration of the enzymatic treatment to avoid damage to elasticity or uncontrolled shrinkage. After washing, the fabric is spun at low speed and dried in low-temperature tumble dryers. Finally, it is steam ironed section by section to adjust the folds in the collar, cuffs, and body of the garment, maintaining a crisp and well-defined silhouette.
The entire manufacturing process involves meticulous attention to every detail, from fabric cutting to imported embroidery and enzymatic treatment. The blend of cotton, nylon, and spandex, along with the intricate embroidery and enzymatic treatments, makes this a highly complex product that requires extremely high precision in production.
